The general message of Douglass’ jr. article we can resume as follow. Until last decades the terrorism, the drug trade and the organized crime were independent area of activities of various fundamentalist organizations and crime syndicates, but now we can not wage a real war on terrorism without waging a real war on illegal drugs because the two are interlocked. This sounds reasonable, although only few months earlier, just after Sept. 11 events, dr Douglass wrote in “Zeit –Fragen” of Sept. 17 the opposite: “(from similar numbers of victims and similar costs of terrorism and drug trade) nobody yet concluded that (after Sept. 11 strikes), we are in the drug war or in a war against organized crime[2].”

But let us return to the bizarre argumentation of J. Douglass jr. in March 27 issue of “Z-F”. Using his previous experience in Soviet affairs, dr Douglass points to the former Soviet Empire as to the source of all planetary evil of today, assuring us without hesitation that Communist states were inherently criminal and terrorist in nature[3]. Such statements have been a kind of obligatory “mantra” of official propagandists of USA practically since the end of WW2 – which “mantra” was a mirror copy of analogous “mantras” we heard in Poland (this only during the relatively short Stalinist period), about the inherent evil of American imperialism[4].

As the more detailed enumeration of communist crimes is considered, dr Douglass points to several secret “revolutionary projects”, supposedly realized by Soviets already decades ago, but unknown until now even to American secret services. Examples given by Douglass (see the attachment 2) we can resume as follow:

-         Already in 1960-ies, during a secret meeting in Havana, communists from several countries agreed on a secret plan of saturation of USA with cocaine and other illegal drugs produced in “invisible colonies” of Soviet Union in Latin America, in particular in Columbia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Peru. This means that most known drug cartels of Latin America – like the famous Medellin gang – were in fact Soviet enterprises. Moreover, these alleged, secret Soviet projects of corrupting Americans with drugs, were imitations of 19 century programs of the “liberal” British Empire, overtly corrupting at that time Chinese elites with opium produced in British ‘visible’ colonies on Indian Subcontinent.

-          As the organized crime is considered, Douglass points to the recently disclosed (by “new KGB”) fact that in 1960-ies KGB had more than 80 penetration agents inside Italian Mafia. He is visibly ignorant of the fact that Italian Mafia was reintroduced to Italy not by Soviets, but by Americans shortly after the WW2. The chief of FBI, Edgar Hoover personally took with him on a flight to Sicily the notorious Italo-American gangster Lucky Luciano (previously persecuted by Italian fascists), hoping that the revitalized Italian Mafia will hinder, the popular at that time Italian communists, from taking the power in this country. In this context it is worth to add that the use of organized crime inside target countries, for the purpose of fight against communism, is the standard “technique” of Dons of America. George Soros in his book “Underwriting Democracy”, completed in 1993, estimates that the Mafia has become so well rooted in Russia that the return of communism in this country has become virtually impossible.

-         Douglass insists – and this in capital letters in one of his articles – that “KGB is the grandfather of terrorism[5]”. As for a person bred in WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) culture he displays thus a very short memory, for cultural models of the large-scale terror originated much earlier than the foundation of KGB. Already in the Bible we have full of horrors descriptions how “The God of Jews” organized in Egypt seven subsequent plagues[6] in order to help “his chosen folk” to reach goals desired by Jews. In modern times, with the invention of highly efficient explosives, once again Zionists have become pioneers of mass terror, blowing at the Mediterranean, at the beginning of 20 century, a ship full of Jewish immigrants to Palestine, and blaming this act of terror on Arabs – only to force British authorities in Palestine to accept the Jewish immigration there. And than we had – few years before foundation of KGB in 1954 – a WTC towers styled blow-up of Hotel King David at Haifa, which killed about 300 British officers, and successfully paved the way to independence of Israel. But the true ‘hit’ was the explosion of the (Jews invented, but executed by Anglo-Saxons) atomic bomb at the deprived of military significance Hiroshima. This, unpunished until now, most horrible until now act of terror, was done just in order to subjugate Japanese totally to the “God blessed”, healthy American domination.

And here we come to a point. Douglass suggests that “Russian” Mafia was surely under the supervision of KGB agents, but covers with silence the necessary fact that FBI controlled this Mafia as well (the same is in the case of all other US-seated Mafia, for ex. the Cuban one in Miami). Otherwise FBI men were/are complete idiots. Moreover, Americans had (and have) all interest in protection of these anticommunist Mafia – for the same reason they protected, already prior to WW2, the Italian Mafia – as a convenient tool of War on Communism (eventually also against Fascism, when it occurs to be too socialist). Such “double, FBI/KGB supervision” of crime syndicates – operating, at he beginning, only within USA – surely paved the way for the broader cooperation between these two secret services. As wrote it Karl Marx, against money no human god can stand up, so with time, the “full of virtue” (and of taxpayers money), American ‘hidden units’ in the War Against Communism in all evidence corrupted their KGB partners, which slowly converted themselves into Communism Fighting, Hidden Soviet Units, penetrating deep within USSR power structures. (An important role in this steady anti-communist subversion played wives of prominent Soviet scholars and politicians, to mention only Elena Bonner, the wife of Andrei Sacharov, which visited frequently her relatives in USA, and also the professor of philosophy, Raisa Gorbatchov, to whom her husband attributed his own “success story” in the War Against Communism[7])

But let’s return to bizarre arguments of dr Douglass jr. From Polish scholars educated in Moscow, and still having contacts with this “capital of Evil” (in Douglass imagination), I heard that in Soviet Union were widespread gossips that Maoists use money, collected thanks to the drug trade, to finance various “entities” in the West, which than sparked the student upheaval in 1968. Being a participant of these “revolutions” (in 1968 in Poland, two years later at Berkeley, USA) I can assure that this gossip spread in USSR (by KGB or by CIA?) had no logical support in practices of communists: Marxism is one of rare anticommercial ideologies (the another one is Confucianism) and Karl Marx openly dreamt that when the society will be able to abolish the empirical essence of Jewishness, it means, it will abolish the commerce (Handel) and its premises, the Jew will become impossible, because he will lack the object of his consciousness (... and in this manner, the Judeo-Christian) conflict between the individual, concrete human being, and his being as a member of a species,  will disappear. (“Zur Judefrage”, 1844.)

This last sentence of Karl Marx article means that Maoists were not able to be drug dealers, this out of the simple reason: they were/are not men of commerce. But who than made all efforts to corrupt Americans by the mean of hard drugs, which plague began, at a larger scale, at the end of 1960-ies, as illustrate it tables shown by dr Douglass during the 2001 “Mut zur Ethik” Congresss? Daniel Pipes in the significant, anti-conspirationists book “Conspiracy”, published in 1997, informs that at the end of 1960 “paranoiac” Black leaders in USA become to complain that FBI pushes “crack” into Blacks in order to divert them from the communist ideas. Moreover, he quotes a known journalist Gary Webb who wrote a series of articles linking CIA with the massive imports of cocaine to Los Angeles.

There are also well documented cases of the USA not so secret involvement in the hard drug trade, this in an effort to “contain” communists. One is the story of Contras in Nicaragua, which “revolutionary” movement gathered money necessary to fight Marxist Sandinistas by the means of the CIA supervised drug trade. The second – this one at the truly global scale – is the story of nearly 20 years long, war in Afghanistan, where forces of anticommunist ‘mudjahedins’ (al. Qaeda included) were regularly invited by CIA to develop plantations of poppy in controlled by them territories, in order to get money necessary for the purchase of expensive American arms.

When man reads arguments of dr Douglas, to the mind comes an opinion of Noam Chomsky, who in the book “Year 501, the Conquest Continues”, compared the work of propagandists of American Values to the behaviour of petty crook, or the tenth rate lawyer, who cries “Thief, thief”, once found with his hand in somebody’s pocket. One even demands himself whether “The Redwood Institute” in Washington, of which ‘entity in the war on drugs & terror’ dr Douglas jr. is a director, is not directly sponsored by PAC money collected via “pizza connection” by men close to Congressman Bob Doyle. (By the way, I heard that the chief of CIA, George Tenet, to whom dr Douglass frequently refers in his paper, is also of Albanian origin.)

There is one important thing, which Douglas tries to camouflage with his good for a kindergarten stories of Maoists’ produced “crack” (“Red Cocaine”) destined for weakening of American Maoists’ (predominantly Blacks) revolutionary spirit. Benjamin Works insists in his report that the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 was in a great extend “paid” by Albanian Mafia, which Mafia, thanks to NATO military devotion – combined with the intellectual devotion of Soros Fundation led journalists – permitted to change the Kosovo province into the European stronghold of the Heroin Mafia. (Once again comes to the memory the history of re-implementation of the Sicilian Mafia in Italy, after the American victory in WW2.) A similar pattern of events we can observe after the success of bombings of Afghanistan in late 2001: in territories liberated from “terrorizing the population” Talibans, the poppy plantations were immediately reintroduced. But for which purpose this was done? Communist are no longer the danger there.
